Overview
Blueberry Acers is a heartfelt children’s board book inspired by the real-life charm of a family-run farm. Authored by Yasmin Leah Ebnit, this whimsical yet authentic story introduces young readers to a day on the farm—complete with goats, chickens, pigs, and horses, all modeled after the author’s actual animals. With tender rhymes and real-life references, the book captures the warmth and rhythm of farm life through a child’s eyes.
Our Approach
As the project focused on book cover design, our goal was to transform Yasmin’s vision into a captivating and child-friendly cover that reflected both the personal nature of her farm and the soft storytelling tone of the book. Our creative process involved:
Reviewing farm photos provided by the author to ensure accuracy and personal touches.
Crafting custom illustrated elements to reflect real animals like Blueberry the goat, Splash the horse, and Burrito the donkey.
Using a soft watercolor style with earthy tones and playful composition, matching the gentle, welcoming feel of the story.
Presenting a balanced and print-ready cover design optimized for board book specifications.
